The U.S. military will be in the spotlight during 600 weekend.
The Memorial Day weekend's Busch and Nextel Cup races will feature 10 drivers in specially painted cars to kick off a national campaign to raise money for military families in need.
Jeff Gordon will drive an "America Supports You" program car, Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be in an "American Heroes" tribute car, and Johnson will drive a "Power of Pride/USO" car in the 600.
Mark Martin's car will feature the U.S. Army, Denny Hamlin's the Marines, Casey Mears the National Guard, Greg Biffle the Coast Guard and Jon Wood's the Air Force. Ward Burton will carry an Air Force scheme in the Busch race with Shane Huffman in the Navy car.
The space was donated by the teams and their sponsors to show appreciation for the military. Sprint Nextel users will be able to text 67783 and sign up to contribute to the American Heroes program and get donation forms by mail.
