So the making of the special ice won't cost significantly more?

I honestly couldn't tell you any more than the sales pitch and that was that it shouldn't be expensive given that both methods are already commercially available and are used in high volume commodity products which are usually very cost conscious.

Slow melt ice processes have been around for quite a while the fishing and food industries, ice sculpting also uses a slow melt product.

I have a feeling that it is a technology that will never see the light of day as it will be superseded before it ever becomes viable but it is a step in the right direction.
