They did not gain access to the interior of the Chancery (Embassy).
It looks like they didn’t even get past the front gate, which is guarded by a local Guard force.
Even if the front gate was breached. All the Marine had Post One did was flip a switch and the doors were magnetically locked. I have done this myself when some protestors jumped the wall and tried to come though the front door when I was at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul.
