Movie being filmed at my ship

The ship I work on (although its my ship I allow others on it) is being rented by a big Hollywood movie production that is going to star Ice Cube. I thought it was Vin Diesel cuz he made the first one - XXX - and no its not a porn movie. This one is going to star Ice Cube (Vin asked for too much money).

The ship is overrun with military vehicles, air planes, both real and fake. There are 100s of movie people running around, trucks, tents, carts, vans, trucks, cameras, cables, motorhomes, its easy to see why these things cost millions of dollars.

The crew is so nice to me its unbelievable. They cart me around, take me to lunch, just treating me and the other girls on the ship like royalty. I can see why working on a movie is like being with a family for a while. We eat in these big tents and everything in the world is there. During the day these people walk around serving smoothies. A person could get used to be treating like that every day!

They are exploding things every day and its so great to watch things explode. The plot I think is some renegade Marines take over a ship and Ice Cube rescues the ship. Dumb, but fun.

When I get my pictures developed I will post them but I don't think I can before the movie is out.

Thats all for now folks.

Cool! :D

Are you going to star in the movie?? ;)

What's the title going to be by the way?

Only if I don't get out of the way of a shot which almost happened yesterday. Apparently they don't take kindly to errant people ruining stunt shots that cause thousands of dollars. The trucker renter guy told me he ruined a shot day before yesterday cuz he was sitting somewhere and didn't know they were filming. When they reviewed the film they saw him and he got yelled at. I told him better him than me!

Its going to be a XXX sequel and I forget the name but I will tell you when I go back in later today or tommorow...

Vin asked for too much money... So they have Mr. Cube. I didn't see him here but I was told he filmed a shot in the office area, right where I work. If you do see the movie and you see Ice Cube barging down a hallway with a blonde yelling at him (not me blonde, the actress) or he is yelling at her, that is right where my desk is.

A funny note. Our aircraft carrier has a friendly rivalry going with other aircraft carrier museums. The movie company made a bunch of fake F18s and have them on the flight deck.

Between all the aircraft carrier museums, we tussle with them from time to time to get donated aircraft parts, jets, whatever, from various air force bases, private donars, etc.

One of our board of directors took a photo of all the F18s and sent it to another ship's top muckity mucks and told him that NASA/Ames gave us a bunch of F18s because they love us. The guy didn't realize it was a joke and sent out emails to all the other aircraft carrier museums in a fit of jealousy. Then he was told it they were fake and he felt like a dork.

Ehm, haven´t this been done before?

Anyone else get a feeling this will be a new "Under siege" only without the cook/Navy SEAL who turn up and save the day...

One more of those is atleast one too many IMHO.

Um  I forgot to ask the name. I will call one of the prop people on my phone today and ask. The crew was sooo nice I can't even tell you. I will call Daryl and ask him. They are cleaning up and maybe done by today.

God I will miss all the excitement. I am already sad. They took the food tent down and no fabulous catered meals for lunch and dinner. No one driving me around in a little cart. No more military vehicles getting exploded... How can I live now?

Your right its dumb. But watching it being filmed and watching things crash and explode was a reward all in itself. I have never seen so many military vehicles in one place (except for military vehicle shows, but I digress). There were also cool fake F18s and such. It was cool to watch no matter how retarded the movie will be.

Kewl! we had movie people here not too long ago doing a documentory for the history channel about artillery guns, i can't wait to see pics of your little escapades :)
