Moms Will Be Moms...

My son arrived back in the United States after fighting with the First Marine Division in Iraq. But I still couldn't help reacting like a mom when I saw him on the base running over to some buddies to return a bayonet. "Kevin!" I shouted halfway across the base, before I could stop myself. "Don't run with that knife in your hands!"

I dont know, my mom was a Ltc...She did much worse than that. She was invited to some ceremony, I was on the security detail. I saw her and she waved me to join her. I join her and she says "Amit this is Udi, Udi, this is my son Amit". I look at the person reaching his hand to shake mine and I see a General(I was a Pvt). It took me a good 25 seconds to decide if I should salute or not. Decide since Im now on first name terms with him I might as well shake hands and run away before someone notices a Pvt in combat dress next to what was a crowd of Genreals and Colonels on full Dress unfiorms and with enough medals for a russian parade.
