Military dog comes home from Iraq traumatized

That is a sad story. Poor puppy. At least they seem to have been able to help her a little.

ETA: It's nice after seeing that she is obviously not the type of dog that can deal with this type of thing that they may be planning to send her back in a year.

Maybe this time they won't be able to bring her back and they'll have to put her down.

No, we are the most adaptive of complex animals.
I used to keep a lot of dogs before and I honestly think people overrate their intelligence.

I have to say I must agree.

Animals do what they are taught or what is in their nature first and foremost. I think it's a little overkill to compare a dog's reaction of Iraq to a human's reaction to Iraq.

Overall I feel bad for this animal. Animals all have different personalities and it seems this dog's personality wasn't able to handle the work in Iraq and I think it's inhumane to "maybe" try and send her back in a year.
