You must have a US Military email address to register. I went and saw an MLS game using this service. Great organization.

Topic: Daily Deals Exclusively for the Military Community

Every day, TroopSwap (a daily military discount site) features a different cool business in your community offering an exclusive deal to veterans, service members and their immediate families. Our local employees are all military spouses and we give 10% of our profits to the Wounded Warrior Project. Our goal is to reward a life of service. Through TroopSwap, you can save 50% on deals from participating merchants.

Currently, TroopSwap is only available in Hampton Roads, Virginia – the largest military community in the world -- but we will expand to more bases in the near future.

Topic: Ask Everywhere!

I ask everywhere and most places will give some sort of discount. I'm a veteran and I still get discounts at just about everywhere I shop. I've saved HUNDREDS if not thousands at Home Depot. Shoe stores all generally give 20% off as well. I am a distance runner, so 20% off my shoes is a big thing. Just ask, the worst thing that will happen is they can say no.
