Military Culture Survey for a Fiction Project

Hey.

I've been working on a book with my instructor from college for the past year. In it, several national armies and military branches are involved in a joint military campaign, and I wish to do my best to present a colourful and accurate account of those little details of culture and training. While we know quite a few details about several militaries, that's very different from living the culture.

If people with first or second hand experience would be willing to discuss the matter, or fill in a survey, it would be a great help to the story. Any militaries or branches I can't get data on will probably have to be excluded.
