Middle East nuclear talks said doubtful despite Iran

VIENNA (Reuters) - Plans for an international conference in December to discuss banning weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East look in doubt even though Iran has said it would attend, Western diplomats say. Any decision to postpone or cancel next month's proposed talks in Helsinki would probably anger Arab states which have pushed for them to be held. But it may be a relief for Israel, which is assumed to be the Middle East's only nuclear-armed state and has yet to say whether it will go to the Finnish capital. ...

1. Not only Israel but USA / NATO should also be considered to posses nukes in ME.

2. I guess Iran has already acquired nukes. Turkey has nukes - some codes are with NATO/USA and some with herself. Turkey might have manufactured some herself using ones she has. Egypt would go nuclear any day. The Saudis are itching too.

3. Eventually we will have to get used to a world with many nuke nations, although USA and perhaps China will remain preponderant.
