AP - The British jet called in by the U.S. Marines had the Taliban position in sight, but the pilot refused to fire, a decision that frustrated Marines on the ground but one in line with new orders by the top U.S. commander to protect civilians.

Tie their hands and let em get hit, let em take casualties, let the CASEVAC birds get hit. Thats how it's gonna be because the insurgents are gonna use "civilians" (read sympathizers) as shields from now on. If they aren't gonna let em fight might as well bring em home.
