Lockheed Martin Corp. won a $344 million contract from the Defense Department to operate and maintain supercomputers at four research centers. Lockheed will provide services to the Defense Department's High Performance Computing Modernization Program, which offers the military supercomputer services, high-speed network communications and computational science expertise, the company said Friday in a statement. The contract has a one-year $85 million base and four one-year options.
