Liverpool have signed Emiliano Insua on an 18-month loan deal.
The young Argentine left-back arrives at Anfield for the long-term loan deal in the knowledge the move will eventually become permanent should he impress manager Rafael Benitez.
The Spanish coach has beaten off competition from several clubs in Europe to land Insua, who caught the eye of Reds scouts during his time with Boca Juniors.
