My name is Dave Deckert, I served for 6 years in the U.S. Army. I am a Gulf War Vet and am 100% service connected for Gulf War Syndrome. I attained the rank of SGT E-5 and held the MOS of 63 B 20 (Light Wheel Vehicle Mechanic). I did Basic at Ft. Leonard Wood MO from Jul to Sept of 85 and AIT at Ft. Jackson S.C. from Sept to Dec 85 for the Reserves (389th Engineers Combat Heavy Dodgeville Wi) I stayed with them for 6 mos and switched to active duty. I was stationed at Ft. Bragg NC from Dec 86-Dec 91 with HHB and SVC Battery 3rd BN 8th FAR.
