There are also a few cadet site I found when I Googled that you would need to join that have some stuff.
Lastly, maybe look in your Brigade library if you have one, or speak to your RSM/CSM/SSM/etc etc as they may have an idea.
oh, also try the RSL itself, they may have something laying around.

If I was close enough I would gladly drill your squad, but there's not much chance of that.

Surely there's a few old squaddies about somewhere in your area.

We never had the luxury of instructional manuals, it was all much more hands (or in some cases, boots) on experience.:D

I couldn't even make the same offer anymore, being well past it. However, I will see if I can help with the info. As the last poster intimated, it was all second nature after basic, i never saw a manual, even tho' I spent so much time in Bn HQ and dealing with Infantry Records HQ. Hope to get back to you soon on the subject. Also, Le Enfield might well be able to advise.

I was trained on the Lee Enfield, I too never saw a drill manual. We were shown hands on as it were by the D.I.

However, have a look on YouTube to see if someone has taken a video of the drill movements.

LEE ENFIELD DRILL MANUAL

My brother in law, Del Boy phoned me earlier with this enquiry. I e mailed our local Army Museum for advice and they suggested I e mailed the Infantry and Small Arms School Corps at Warminster. Wilts. I have done this and await a reply. Might also be worth googling 'British Army Drill Movements' and looking at the Wikipedia it brings up. This gives drill movements including slope arms etc using old rifles and the modern rifles used today. Hope this helps and will post any further info I get. Last time I drilled with a 303 was 1961, but you never forget it. Good luck with your search

One and all.
Managed to get a copy of the RAF drill manual for .303 drill which has helped a great deal. Very poor copy but good noneheless.
AS far as ANZAC Day went.......... good start don't remember the finish!
Cheers all.

I remember during my basic training at RAF Hemswell, marching with the old Lee Enfield at the slope. Recruits were bitching how heavy the rifles were, when the D.I. Bellowed, “In a couple of weeks those rifles will feel like balloons on sticks.” As it happens, he was right.
