Kurdistan as a state?

Turkey has the greatest reasons to fear the Kurds seeking vengence against them. Iraq's crimes against them were worse most likley, but justice is already done: The leader of Iraq responsible is deposed and the Kurds now have every expectation of having more power to prevent genocidal attacks against their people within Iraq. Its like Japan and it crimes against other nations, Turkey did some absolutely despicable things and has not/is not being held accountable for their actions. Their actions against the Armenians was worse of course, but they at least have a nation of their own now.

Isn't it strange what fearing another person's need for revenge motivates in people?

If one were prone to contemplation it might prove a healthy dose of prevention when considering the actions one undertakes with regards to other people. But then by and large we're a selfish short-sighted species.
