Damn, I wish Polish soldiers (as well as other troops from former eastern block ) had good publicity. Some people are like: WTF Poland has army? Well... we do. Not a big one, but there is such a thing. Some might say, they are useless anyway. It comes from simple fact that you don't usally hear much about them. So what I wanted to share with you, is a few short videos from Karbala, where Polish and Bulgarian troops were defending the city hall during Al-Sadr uprising. Number of insurgents was estimated at a few hundred armed militia ( mostly AK-47, RPD, RPG-7 ). 80 troops were defending city hall (40 Bulgarian at base level, 40 Poles at 1st floor ) and 1 armored scout car BDRM2-"Szakal" (polish modified regular BDRM2). Only 1 machinegun had night vision, and insurgents had good intel from corrupt iraq police. Before fight broke out, all Iraq personnel (police, army) simply ran away, leaving coalition troops surrounded by rebels...

Here u got these, rather short movies. (Text is in polish, but I can put a translation if u wish, also the music is sucky... ill try to get my hands on oryginal records.)
