Mikhail Kalishnikov was named a "Hero of Russia" on Tuesday the 10th. President Dmitry Medvedev lauded him for creating "the brand every Russian is proud of." Well he deserves it, along with Stoner and Browning, definately knew his stuff and was a firearms design genius.
