Reuters - An assault by Taliban insurgents on the heart of Kabul's diplomatic and military enclave has ended after 20 hours, when security forces killed the last of six attackers, a spokesman for the Ministry of the Interior said on Wednesday.

Having some input into the training of the ANP, all I can say is, I'm bloody annoyed at what passes for rifle marksmanship technique. Bloody hopeless. No wonder it took 20 hours to resolve the incident.
