John Kerry's Navy Career

What exactly was John Kerry in the Navy?

Sorry for not clarifying this, but I mean his job, and his rank.

It is interesting to see that 4 years after Al Gore tried and failed to use his service in Vietnam against Bush’s “missing” year in the National Guard, John Kerry and the democrats have decided to go down the same risky path.
Gore served 141 days as a rear echelon reporter and his “protected” service failed to survive the public scrutiny and was quickly dismissed as relevant in 2000. Kerry served 5 months and was awarded medals but the raising controversies about the wounds and his character while on duty, and the suddenly “missing” years of anti-war “heroism” of his post-war life will most likely end up hurting him too. Short of any relevant issues, maybe the Democrats should stick to Bush and his college drinking habits.

with a new anti Kerry ad out, Senator John Mccain is bashing Bush for it and claims "all Kerry's crewmates support Kerry and call him a hero" Yet other craft troops said Kerry is someone you couldnt count on. Sen. Mccain also says "all" his crewmates. There is one that speaks out aginst Kerry but Im sure being a democrat had nothing to do with it slipping Sen Mccains memory. I dont however agree with the other riverboat crews saying John Kerry didnt earn his medals...unless they were there when he earned them. Anyways the sad thing is I see more bashing of each other than actual campaigning. Why dont they say Im good because I support this...rather than he's bad because he did this? It just doesnt make any sense.

Well Senator McCain is a Republican and was running for President in 2000. And about the crew of his swift boats, if you go to the website Swift Boat Vets, you will see that none of them actually support the man.

Go here to see an ad, that I uploaded that shows a recent ad in Ohio:

One person! One!

Kerry seems to be receiving a better Vietnam rap then Gore because Kerry was more on the wire, a commander, and a decorated soldier (3 Purple Hearts).

Kerry also has a large Vietnam Veteran support group backing him, Gore did not.

McCain is republican, but is an extremely sensible voice in the Senate. He is calling the ad's attempt to destroy Kerry's wartime credibility distasteful and dishonorable because none of Kerry's own crew appeared on the ad, out of 6 on the boat, 5 support him and one is deceased.

McCain also isn't known for being heavily supportive of Bush or his policies. McCain spent 5 years in a Vietnamese POW camp, so he knows war and that, combined with his sensibility, makes him the perfect moderator as well as a Republican siding with the democrats on removing Bush from office.

However McCain is supporting the President for re-election. Maybe he could be less harsh on the Commander-in-Chief.

There's a book that has already came out or is coming out that tells all about John Kerry.

How much of the book do you actually think will be the complete and unaltered truth?
