I dont get your point miss. A justice court is where a judge uses the law to judge a situation, in general between two entities.
Like in a divorce. Islamic divorce have its own rules and laws. And it takes a Judge trained in the maters of Islamic laws to judge.

I mean, why should we care? Its between Muslims.

We have a lot of different courts. We have laws for industry, for administration, for the military, for comon crimes, for war crimes, for human rights, for the workplace etc etc...

Now, there is a court of religious laws... And I dont see how someone could use that to its own benefits.

It takes a high level of corruption for that. And I dont think it can happen in the UK. As the state have some control on the courts on its territory. If a judge takes bribes and misinterpret the law... There will be consequences.

The real question is "how to enforce these rulings?" Should we put people in jail for religious rulings? And it's for this reason that they limited the topics of these courts to mariage and such common subjects.

I meant, if *ordinary Joe* wanted save whatever he deems is his, out of selfishness, what if he decides, to *convert* to Islam so he can use Islamic laws to gain whatever he thinks is his. Manipulation , undermine, whatever one wants to call it. That's what I'm referring to as there are lots of people who would use whatever means, for personal gain, spite, malice, etc.

I understand. And this "fear" isnt justified. These are specialized courts. The laws they use are different, but they are still laws... I mean serious laws with a logic.

Then there is the competence of the judges. They arent stupid, they know their stuff.

And of course. There is no conflicts between the Common Law and the laws of these courts. The system was studied to avoid conflicts and to avoid these kinds of "tricks".

Well, that's good information for the ordinary person, like me, to learn. which I can pass along if I ever run into that question, , thank you! and is good to know that least these Islamic courts are tied to the common law. Fairness for the Islamic women too, least I hope.

I took a book about this topic in the past. It was an interesting read.

It was about women and Islam. I studied a little Arabic and took some time to learn about the culture (many variants) and of course the religion (Islam).

So, in the matters that concern women. Islam was always pretty advanced. The Arab culture is very hostile toward women. It was like a vengeance against women, because there was a time (way before Islam) when women were very powerful in the Arab peninsula. And looks like the women abused this position of power and that the Arab men took their revenge.

And it was horrible to be a woman at that time. They were treated like objects. Not even second class citizens... Men could burry their daughters alive at birth if they judged that they had too many women in the family (a bad thing). etc... well, just horrible to be a woman.

And when Islam appeared, women had rights. The right to chose a husband. The right to divorce. The right to own stuff, etc...

Well, long story short. You have to make the difference between Arab culture and the religion of Islam and its laws.

These two are in conflict on most issues. The culture is very harsh toward Women. And the more educated the people are, the better they practice their religion, and the better the women live in society.

So If you care about Muslim women, Islamic courts could be a very good thing. Because it gives these communities access to a competent judge.

It's like the Taleban that dont let women go to school or get a job... And it's nowhere in the religious laws.

I think that it's a good way to fight extremism and obscurantism...

I'l tell ya what I think if somebody "converts" to islam, the same old laws of that country his is in SHOULD STILL APPLY to him and his entire family. if he chooses to follow only islam, and not the laws of the country he is in, then ship his arse to a muslim country and let him live there, AND STAY THERE.
if he chooses to make terrorists against non muslim countries then let him die like a muslim terrorist.

Wolfen, are you at war against Muslims?

You jump from a thing to another. First, you speak about law and then you speak about religion and then you jump to terrorism...

So let me give you the same speech you gave with concepts you actually understand.

This is what I heard when you spoke:
"I'l tell ya what I think if somebody "converts" to christianism, the same old laws of that country his is in SHOULD STILL APPLY to him and his entire family. if he chooses to follow only christianism, and not the laws of the country he is in, then ship his arse to vatican and let him live there, AND STAY THERE.
if he chooses to make terrorists against non christian government and bomb hospitals that practice abortion then let him die like a christian terrorist."

And that's the right ignorant speech to make enemies. You are full of prejudice and particularly intolerant...

And I had enough of this speech... You are with me or against me. Who the hell are you to say that? We are all equals on this planet. Who gave you the right to say "ship him over there." Why we shouldnt ship you rather than another?

You are superior or something? Sometimes I think that the Nazis are back...

Yea if you can find one that will convert to Christianity ship him over here, cause he dam sure doesn't belong there anymore, get him out before they kill him.

Who the hell am I to say that? I'm the one who lost 3 friends in a marine barracks in Lebanon. I'm the one who stood on the flight deck of the U.S.S Nimitz and watched two Libyan migs get shot down after they were sent to attack he ship. I'm the one who watch the first attempted destruction or the world trade center. I'm the one who lost 3 good friends on the U.S.S Cole. I'm the one who watched in horror as two airplanes full of innocent passengers weer hijacked by muslims and flown into the world trade center. I'm the one who was dropped in countries where I'm wanted dead cause I'm not a muslim.I'm the one who lost a bunch of comrades in this war that shouldn't have even had to be lost. I'm the one who can't say Merry Christmas cause I might offend a muslim. I'm the one who's ancestors drove the muslim Turks out of Romania. I'm the one who got physically threatened by a muslim in my own dam house because my Christmas tree offended him.
Am I at war with muslims? Only the ones that want me dead or get offended when I express my civil and human rights, if that offends you then so be it.

If you think the Nazi's are coming back go hide under a rock now and avoid the rush.

Well, all these events in your life arent enough to justify such behavior. I know that such events can have a strong influence. But it's not an excuse for being intolerant or a bigot.

I know many Muslims. And I spent a lot of time in north Africa. I think I know my stuff...

And you fail to do something very important. You fail to recognize the Muslim "minds". Just like some Muslim extremists fail to recognize the American/Occidental minds...

A bit like the Spanish when they reached South America and started slaughtering people for their gold... They dont know christ, they dont speak our language, they have weird backward culture, so they have no minds, so they are animals, so we can treat them like crap and even kill them...

It's a kind of racism. Dont go there... And you can do it, you said it yourself:
Quote:
Am I at war with muslims? Only the ones that want me dead or get offended when I express my civil and human rights, if that offends you then so be it.
We have the chance to be educated. It's not so common in poor countries where corruption and poverty strikes very hard. We have to be better than that. We should react in a better way.

I dont want to be the jerk that comes and asks for politically correct statements... I dont care about this kind of things...
But there was real prejudice in what you wrote.

Some Muslims are jerks. They are offended if you drink alcohol next to them. Others are tolerant. And then you see that it's a matter of education. Because in their own laws and rules, there is nothing that asks them to ***** and moan when someone is drinking alcohol or eating pork next to them... It's the culture that does that.

But yet, we put that on the religion, and we start to act like jerks toward anyone who says that he is Muslim.

Then what is enough to justify my behavior dear mother? Do I have to lose more friends to extremists or do I just have to let the muslims kill me? Your dam right I'm intolerant sorry to offend you but I think I have every right to my own opinion, and I have a bullet hole that says I can be intolerant.
I don't care if it sounds like prejudice or not its the truth.
And the only thing about a muslim mind I fail to understand is why the hell do they blow them selves up. It it just just cause a god told them they'd go to heaven if they kill non muslims? Or is it the virgins they are supposed to get?

You say "Some Muslims are jerks. They are offended if you drink alcohol next to them" here's a little hint, stay out of the bar, cause I will defend myself, if that means I declare war on a country, the world is dam lucky that have that half muslim in the white house that's there now instead of me
