TORONTO (AP) -- The Baltimore Orioles managed just two hits against a team whose starter was scratched before the game.

Brian Tallet, Jeremy Accardo and Brandon League combined on a two-hitter in place of injured starter Ted Lilly, and Lyle Overbay homered and drove in five runs to lead the Toronto Blue Jays to a 8-1 victory over Baltimore on Monday.
Lilly was scratched just before the scheduled start because of a stiff neck.
"It was a long day," Baltimore's Kevin Millar said. "What can you say? We got two hits.
"League was throwing 98 mph sinkers and that's not fun to face for four innings and then Accardo threw 95, 96 mph sinkers," Millar said.
Tallet didn't allow a hit in the first 2 1/3 innings. Accardo (1-0) gave up both hits but didn't allow a run in 2 2-3 innings. Brandon League earned his first major league save by pitching the final four innings.
"Those were my two hits. I ruined the no-no," Accardo said.
The relievers were told about Lilly two hours before the game.
"Ted couldn't go so we knew it was going to be on the bullpen," Accardo said. "We all did our job and the best thing was that we needed only three pitchers to do it."
Fernando Tatis singled in the third, and Miguel Tejada doubled in the fourth for Baltimore.
"The bullpen sucked it up and did a heck of a job," Toronto manager John Gibbons said.
Vernon Wells also homered for the Blue Jays, who have won two straight following a season-high seven game losing skid.
Reed Johnson, who was 3-for-4 with a walk, doubled in the first and scored on Overbay's single off Orioles starter Russ Ortiz (0-3)
Toronto right fielder Alex Rios bobbled Tatis' single for an error in the third, allowing Millar to score from second.
Overbay's homer made it 3-1 in the bottom half of the inning.
Johnson doubled and Frank Catalanotto singled before Wells hit his 27th homer to give Toronto a 6-1 lead.
Ortiz has struggled since signing with Baltimore on June 25, following his release by Arizona. He gave up six runs on nine hits in three-plus innings. His ERA actually dropped from 11.57 to 9.86.
"You take your lumps like a man," said Ortiz, who answered questions politely for several minutes after the game. "Everyone is going to have bad days."
Overbay added a two-run single off Tim Byrdak in the eighth to make it 8-1.
