There already is a war. Been going for years and getting closer to Europe by the day. I just hope the 2 big players in the EU (France and Germany) start fighting soon.

And I just hope you are kidding me! The last thing we need is a hot conflict of any kind..... certainly over some as ridiculous as a cartoon. We'd better start one over soccer (after the world championship of course)
 
I'm at a complete loss why anyone would want France and Germany to fight, but whatever. All that is completely off topic.

The Muslims of the world are looking a great deal like that playground bully who could be ruthless and mean to others, but once the tables were turned on him he doesn't know what to do. So he sits in the mud and cries his eyes out.

I think he meant that he'd like to see them fight the radical Muslims, not each other.
 
Looking into my crystal ball, I think I'm seeing the future of this story. I believe I see what Europe will do next, but all I'm seeing is a big "FU". Yes that is what I believe that Europe's response will be.

We could wish for a day when Islam no longer reacts like a spoiled brat throwing a tantrum, the moment anyone criticises anything about their religion. There are probably some of them capable of maturity, but those who are protesting are making their religion, as a whole, look mighy stupid.

Queen Margrethe II of Denmark has called on the country "to show our opposition to Islam", regardless of the opprobium such a stance provokes abroad.

Her comments further undermined the image of Denmark as a liberal haven for those seeking a new life in northern Europe.

The Danish government has already been accused of fuelling xenophobia by introducing measures which effectively closed the country to asylum seekers.

But in overtly political passages from an official biography published yesterday Queen Margrethe makes comments certain to complicate her nation's relationship with Muslims.

She said: "We are being challenged by Islam these years - globally as well as locally. It is a challenge we have to take seriously. We have let this issue float about for too long because we are tolerant and lazy.

"We have to show our opposition to Islam and we have to, at times, run the risk of having unflattering labels placed on us because there are some things for which we should display no tolerance."

"And when we are tolerant, we must know whether it is because of convenience or conviction."

The Queen, who turns 65 tomorrow and has reigned since 1972, wields no political power but does occasionally comment on political issues.

Denmark has seriously limited immigration in the past three years and the anti-immigrant Danish People's Party, an ally of the centre-Right government, has pushed through laws making it harder to bring in foreign spouses or qualify for asylum.
The queen told her biographer, Annelise Bistrup, apparently referring to Muslim fundamentalists: "There is something impressive about people for whom religion imbues their existence, from dusk to dawn, from cradle to grave."

She said she understood how disaffected young Muslims might find refuge in religion. This tendency should be fought by encouraging Muslims to learn Danish so they could integrate better, she said.

It warms my heart that the Danish people anmd especially their Queen are standing up to these monsters.

I just hope that the rest of Europe follows their example.
 
The entire EU is getting into the action according to the sources cited in the thread thusfar.

Muslim nations really and truly do need to wake up to one important reality: They cannot and should not expect Non-Muslims to obey their nitpicky little Muslim rules.
 
I just want to get this off my chest since it appears that this whole thread is turning into a Musilm-bashing festival.

I don't want a war with Muslims and don't all together enjoy talking of it, but I do not see much being done by either side to truly get along, seems like any show of support by either side for the others beliefs are said through clenched teeth.
 
(A) Danish people are the best people inside Scandinavia because they speak their mind and they are not brainwashed as the rest of us. They still got real freedom of the press and they still got a people that use their brain before they take a dump. Something sweden have not done in many years.

(B) All Muslims are fanatics regardless of all BS saying otherwise, Muslims themselves says that there is nothing that can be called extrem Islam or moderate Islam, there is just Islam. Anyone telling you otherwise is a crackpot and a liar.

(C) Freedom of the press? Well take a good look at the TV, even if western press the majority of it realy want to hide the true face of Islam the counter pictures for Freedom of the press and the placards speaks its own language F- Democracy + cut the throats of the infidels + remember 9/11 or do you never learn 9/11. They use kids to excite the crowds in the U.K, why? cause they cant be tossed out from the country as the extremists they all are. I say that you all got 10 more years of Freedom and Freedom of the press if very lucky, and then you can kiss democracy and ladies without that tadpole outfits good bye. Islam has nothing to do in a modern democratic society, like with National Socialism. True democracy will eventually die and the rest is history, you better be ready to turn towards Mecca or fight with your bear hands for any kind of western freedom for your grandchilds cause they will not excist and you and me are all history if we dont give them the finger and stand up for what we all believe in. I will buy alot of Danish products this month!

(D) Go Denmark! Go France! Go Democracy! I love freedom! FREEDOM!

It is funny to see that out governemnt too has picke up the gauntlet. Our pm also shared his views and reckons that Denmark should be supported and the muslim world should show respect to our values as we do to theirs (in general)
