Hi everyone,
My name is Brandy and I am joining this forum as a civilian who's father was in the military.

I would also like to know if any veteran here wouldn't mind answering a few questions for me for a presentation I have to do. It is for a history course in college. I have to interview someone who has served in either WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, Desert Storm, or Iraqi Freedom. I would interview my father but he has not really been in any of the wars aforementioned.

If I could get a reply as soon as possible as my project is due next week, that would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Get ye down to the VA hospital, American Legion or the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Visit your local National Guard unit too.

Even though your project has finished, if you are personally interested try it out with FACMan at Wat (http://www.warandtactics.com/smf/profile/?u=35 ; he is having an interview thread on his time in Vietnam and his still ongoing battle with VA, quite an interesting read), and I am sure he would be most happy to help you out (and anybody else with the same take): http://www.warandtactics.com/smf/vietnam-war/my-tour-of-duty-interview-'soundtrack'/

Wow wish I could have seen this thread sooner, I did everything from 1980 to 1999, Including but not limited to the drug war, Desert Storm, and the Lybia incident, when one of our Tomcat squadrons splashed two migs :)

There have been many wars and battles over the years, why not try and find an odd one that is not covered much by the other students.
