not exactly, martial arts actually practice ur muscles in ur arm and therefore u can keep ur hands more still and less fatigue being induced on them. also martial arts help to keep u calm.

cant really say martial arts are useless, a crossbow in anceint times can kill a martial artist, so if u say that then there is no need in martial arts at all, if its useless why each army and each special forces pratise it? sometimes combined with mordern tactics, martial arts are silent killers if they can get behind the enermy or surprise them in close range.
