So we give them 3 hot meals a day, hot shower, TV, books, classes to learn skills, occasional email time, telephone calls, visits from family or friends but the man can't hang a poster of a woman? This is messed up.
 
Haha, Americans just don't get it. Punishing people for the crimes in close proximity to other dangerous criminals? That's a GREAT idea; it turns the prisons into a training ground for criminals. When they come out they are harder, stronger, and have more connections than ever before. The harsher the prison the more likely it is they'll come out with an entirely new hatred for society.

They don't allow nudity? No wonder there are rapes in prison!
 
Actually the harsher the prison, the less likely they'll want to come back.
Think about it, in prison you get 3 meals a day, all of it hot. You get shelter. Chances of getting killed are lower. Yeah, you might get your s*** pushed in now and then but your chances are better than when you're on the streets.
You don't hear about guys going to the Gulag twice now do you?
Confinement, is hardly a punishment. Not to a lot of these tough as nails bastards with no sense of respect for social law and order. You have to humble them. And to do that, you break every piece of dignity and pride they have.

If the prisons were returned to a state where they were places of punishment where criminals pay for their crimes and the officails were in control. Instead of places where rehabilatation. is attempted with dismal results. Prisons would probably work better than they do now.

Instead of making convicted felons pay a debt to society. Society ends up paying a debt to them. In paying for them to attend classes designed to rehabilatate but instead used to impress a parole board.

BTW Despite your oh so worldly expieriance and vast knowledge of the criminal mind. Rape isn't about sex. It's a power and humiliation thing. So how bout you stick to posting about what you know.
