The idiot should have taken the 5-10 minutes it takes to fill out the paper work but chosse not to.
So what if he had to stay active duty for another whole DAY. His plane ticket home was paid for and could have been changed (I had to change mine becuase of a hurricane in Sep 2003).
He would have also been compensated (paid) for that extra day or so...
