I just found out Friday that my dependency waiver has been approved. I now have only to choose my MOS and be sworn in and I will officially be U.S. Army property. 8) I'm returning to MEPS this Friday to choose my MOS. I'm assuming I will also get my date for beginning basic training then.

One question: I'm going to talk to a "counselor" to choose my MOS. I know virtually nothing about this process. Can anyone enlighten me as to what to expect?

Be firm about the MOS you want and do not give in. If you have to walk out, do so - they will call you back.

Thanks. That's pretty much what everyone is saying. "Stick to your guns". I found out Friday is a holiday, so Thursday is the day I choose my MOS. I'm still leaning heavily toward EOD, if it's still available.
