For our international people.

A state Illinois law was struck down as being unconstitutional (this means the local state law is illegal). This law would have made the rental or sale of 'violent' or 'sexually explicet' video games to people under 18 a felony.

Personally I'm glad. I dont think its the state's business to tell me what games I can and cannot buy for either me or my kids. Thats the role of parents. Our country (the USA) has tried several times in banning things in order to control the younger elements of our society from alcohol, comic books, horror movies, porn, guns, and now video games. It has never worked. In fact the Judge of this case noted that the states allegations the video games lead to deliquency was at best, a strech. I am against any type of government that tries to 'mold' society. Espically when the groupes that advocate these bans have opinions and values that I do not share.

What are your thoughts?
