Howdy all.
Active duty was a long time ago. I was 72 Echo in the US Army from '86 to '93 when there was nothing was going on. The only way to see action during that period involved a cab-ride into town.
Now I am a telecommunications engineer (you really can get a job when you get out). I'm prone to talking about old military communications and electronic equipment, as well as discussions about the bizarro-world that is the military.
