Howdy everyone,
I'm a new member here. I found out about this site and became interested in after reading the account of the election day battle in McMinn County, Tennessee, otherwise known as the Battle of Athens. The reason that I wanted to join this community, is that my grand-dad fought along with the other GI's in this battle. He and my uncles told me a great deal about this when I was younger. If there are any members of this site that fought in that battle, or had family or friends that did, I would like to hear more about this. I am proud of my grand-dad and all of the men that he fought along side.
