How and when will Europe recover from it's decline??

i believe that as the decades pass, europe will become a nicer place to live in, but with the path europe is taking right now, there is no hope of ever becoming a superpower

When Europe is able to get rid of the political liberal left and come back to a more conservative system of values, recovery will follow. :? :?

The liberal left has gutted your armed forces and relies too heavily on the U.N. for protection of soverenty. Wrong approach for a strong country. Your populations have been taxed to death in favor of social programs(socialism) which does not work.

Europe is not a single country.

Off post (the one i quoted) I just cant understand why Europe is compared to USA? USA is one country, Europe is comprised out of several induvidual countrys.

What are you talking about?

That's the only way...to unite...unity is power.

Regarding the problem:

Well Wurst...
I've been in Europe so many times... it's like I lived there, though not quite. Put all the times together and it'll probably be about 2 years or more. Been to Austria about 6 or 7 times, Belgium on many occasions and England a fair share as well.
The UK, by the way is an entirely different animal from continental Europe.
But what we're getting at is not the "as is," but the potential issues. The shrinking population is a really serious problem.
Yes I know that there are less poor people etc. in most European countries in Western Europe than in the US, but remember the same could be said of the USSR and North Korea when they first started off. Really, there were no beggars. Initially it looked great because everyone was getting what they needed. But over time that model did fail.
The European system seems to be heading in that direction simply because people demand it, and so often in Europe I've heard that this Marxist stuff is the answer. The conservatives who try to prevent this are shutted out and often even called Nazis.
And ironically... when life gets too comfortable your country becomes weak. It's the strange irony and the fundamental flaw of all super powers of the past. Life got too easy for either the whole country, or the ones supposed to lead it.

About the revolution:

Flying Frog, they don't need a revolution. They just need a hard kick in the teeth to realize the level of their impending crisis. This may not be possible until the crisis does strike and everyone feels it. Who knows what will happen. But I believe that the educated population's right to choose their leader is a fundamentally right system. The last thing I'd want in Europe is communism (though it seems to be headed that way... a democratic communism of sorts...) and the other thing would be dictatorship. Europe's past that level.

About World War II and attitude:

World War II was when the stick flew over to the right. Afterwards, people in Europe decided to react by kicking over to the left.. and as time goes on, they keep pushing it further and further left.
Overreaction on a gigantic scale.
People need to realize this is not MTV lah lah land.

What I think of Europe right NOW:

Probably the best place to live. But it might be just a little too good... a little too comfortable.

I dont think Europe is striving towards a Superpower either so whats the point?

500 million people, huge economy, nukes-that's superpower.
Can't you see?

All that is missing is the attitude. (and the will to back that attitude with sufficent military force)

It's mostly the will to back it with military force that's lacking. Well, the will to back it up with any kind of force really.
France has the attitude but it only seems to be pissing off the other members.

I guess we're finding out the flaws on the idea of a world government. There can't even be a true European government.

And unity.

Of course how could I forget, unity should come before the attitude.
