No, in actuality, this is almost a good sign. If you got an automatic response, it would probably be a no. If the principal already liked the idea enough and knew there was support, he would have already proposed it himself. It could mean they were considering it. Give it about 2 weeks, and if no news has come across, I would schedule an appointment with the principal. Don't just go up there and expect to have half and hour to talk to him. Talk to the secretary, and on the day you talk to him, present yourself in a good manner. Don't wear borderline dress code clothes, or anything like that.

Just a few tips on giving a good interview and first impression. I have more if you like.

you have a point there....i was talkin a girl that tried to get it started but she didnt have a clue about it so yeah..... at our school we have dress code lol

It might be a good idea to schedule an interview. If they ask priority, tell them not extremely urgent, but sometime in the next week if possible.

Bring in articles of information, bring in your letter, and other research, and keep organized in a folder.

We are most likely getting a JROTC for next school year. But so far no reply on if we are. Our principal said he would let me know once he gets a reply. Thirty four students signed up for JROTC for next school year.

I'm trying to get a JROTC unit started at my school and I feel the same way you do. At the moment im workin on a report that gona be like 60 pages long and if he dosent say yes the first time i'll annoy the crap out of him till he does , good luck

I am trying to get it to where homeschool students can join JROTC
