I have a question about counter-terrorism. Recently, Belgian counter-terrorism authorities thwarted a New Years plot set for the country's capital. How do counter-terrorism authorities receive this intelligence and stop plots? It's very interesting. Is it really as simple as tapping cell phones and recording and listening to calls and reading all SMS communications? And monitoring social media activity of suspects? Or is it something more advanced?
