House OKs Bankruptcy Plan For Guard, Reservists

National Guard members and reservists who experience financial hardships while serving in war zones would find it easier to file for bankruptcy relief under legislation the House approved.
The bill, passed by voice vote, would exempt Guard members and reservists who have served at least 90 days in Iraq and Afghanistan from the means testing included in a 2005 bankruptcy overhaul act aimed at reducing abuse of bankruptcy law.
