High School JROTC program stereotypes

I hear that JROTC is stereotyped as something poor kids do. But there is a high school in Florida called Henry B Plant High School located in a wealthy area that has an Air Force JROTC program and it is one of the top 50 schools in America. What do you think? Do you think there should be more JROTC programs in affluent high schools? In the UK the English equivalent of JROTC, the Combined Cadet Force is more prevalent in private schools than state schools. Do you think there are rich kids interested in military aviation? Do you think H.B. Plant's AFJROTC program would get wealthy students interested in military aviation?
