Hi everyone. I got a few questions about joining the army.
I applied once before as a vehical mechanic when I was almost finished school and was in successful based on age and was advised to finish school first.
That was almost 5 years ago now and I'm almost fully qualified heavy vehicle mechanic, and still want to join
My questions.
1) will having my trade make it easier to get into vehicle mechanic?
Or will I still have to do the army's 4 years of mechanic training?
Don't want to have to redo an apprenticeship
2) Transferring
If successfull, What's the process of transferring from a trade role to a combat role as ultimately I'd like to one day make it to S/F
Or would it make more sense to start in a combat role "rifleman"
Any usefull advise would be great,
