hi.
name is Gary i live in Gladstone, mo. that's a northern suburb of KC. born and raised. married 1 kid. so we're empty nesters. retired from Sony Electronics in 2001. so im now a professional dead beat. and luv every min.
I served with the USN in Nam. 66-70. yep. im used. BUT not used up. served on USS Forrestal TAD, xferd to the Newport News (cruiser) then finished my hitch on an ammo ship. Vesuvius. why the USN ???
both my late dad and uncle served in the USN in WW2. so when it came my turn. an old family tradition.
good to be here. ill get squared away before posting. good to be here. also my spelling sometimes goes backwards sorry.

Hi Gary! New member here, too. Nam in 1965 & 66 with Mobile Training Teams, USN, training S. Vietnam Frogmen & Rangers. Got my start in Subs.

Now I'm retired Army.

Glad another Old Goat is aboard.

thanks pal. old goat is right !!!! well we're worn but not worn out. always nice to meet vets who served in your war. I was in communications. 4 cruises, assigned to 7th fleet westpac. the Navy operated out of subic bay PI. we'll chat some more cheers
