The Air Force is working to develop a plan for a disputed $15 billion helicopter contract it awarded to Boeing. Lockheed Martin of Bethesda and Sikorsky protested the award.
The Air Force declined to confirm whether bidding would be reopened but said that in mid-June, after the Government Accountability Office clarifies outstanding issues, it will issue a bid amendment to further explain operations and support costs. The Air Force has 60 days to respond to last month's GAO recommendation, which asks the service to reopen discussions with all competitors and to request revised proposals.
