Hand grenades are part of the personal weapon of a soldier.

Do you think hand grenades are still relevant today as most fighting will be done beyond the throwing range of a grenade?

Have you thrown a grenade before -- like the experience? ;)

Who says most fighting will be done beyond hand grenade range. Most fighting is being done in cities under 75m.

I've never thrown a real hand grenade only those that were used for practice, but I would like to throw a real one someday8)

I've thrown grenades bevore, frag and concussion.

Especially in urban warfare the handgrenade is absolutely necessary.

I myself have never throw a live frag, but I am the NCOIC of an airsoft team that uses the Dummy M67 in our MOUT Ops. We breach the front door of the training trailer using a sledge and crowbar, then clear each room, but when we find an "OPFOR" thats got himself wedge pretty good, we throw an M67 or M12 into the room.

Yes the grenade is relivant.

The last thing a soldier will do is to throw a grenade uphill...
the little thing may just roll back downhill

indeed... the danish recruits watch a movie during their first week where they see some soldiers throwing a grenade up a hill in Iraq (or Afghanistan), but the grenade rolls down again and (probably) kills them :/ talk about friendly fire :(

but no i haven't... but i would love to...
