Gunny Hathcock.

Nice Link. Do remember the picture they had of Gunny Hathcock and Cpl Merriwhinney (Sp) at the Edson Range Chow Hall?
 
I think I glanced at it, not sure if I recall it off the top of my head. Had one at Quantico too, very big and a good shot of him.
 
Was Major Land (ret) still kicking around the Q doing consluting at the S/S school when you were there. I met him at Pendelton once in the mid 80's. He had some stories about Gunny Hathcock.
 
I don't remember a Major Land. I wasn't S/S certified though, when I became interested in it, it was too close to EAS and they used me some as a FO with Navy Guns and such.
