Gunmen ambush minibus carrying foreign Shiite pilgrims

BAGHDAD, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Unidentified gunmen opened fire at a minibus
carrying Indian and Afghan Shiite pilgrims south of Baghdad on Monday,
killing two of them and wounding six others, a police source said.
"Unknown armed men on a minibus opened fire at about 9:10 a.m. (0610
GMT) at another minibus carrying Indian and Afghan Shiite pilgrims on the
main road in Uwairiej area," the source told Xinhua on condition of
anonymity.
The foreign pilgrims were heading to the holy Shiite shrines in Karbala
and Najaf, the source added.
