Some 40 years ago, around Smoke Bomb Hill on Ft. Bragg, NC, there was a standing joke that all Special Forces soldiers (Green Berets) had to have ROLEX watches (I was involved in finding a SF SGM’s watch when he left it with a Korean Bar Girl and forgot which bar the girl worked in).
There was a story at Bragg that one night an old woman, who lived just off the Ft., called the police and reported a SF soldier running down the street naked.
The police asked her how she could ID the man as a Green Beret if he wasn’t wearing any cloths - she told him “because he was wearing a great big watch and had a little bitty dick”.
