I wouldn't consider the 20-30 million Russians killed fighting the Germans "lucky". The Americans had bases all over the world to contain the Soviet bloc. Slowly, we are are downsizing and pulling away from these bases.

How did or can the Japanese empire or Chinese Communist Party beat the Europeans violently? This is news to me. During WWII the Europeans could not coherently fight against the Japanese because they had Nazi Germany to deal with. That's why the US took on the brunt of Allied fighting against the Japanese. Systematically taking out their Navy, capturing island after island, and bombing the bejesus out of them.

I can't fathom any Asian country that was occupied by the Japanese seeing them as heroes. Their treatment of the local populations was atrocious from Indochina to Korea. The rape of Nanking comes to mind. So does the enslavement of Korean men as laborers and use of Korean women as sex slaves. Not heroic in my eyes at all.

Why would anyone want to invade China???

As long as China don't try to expand into neighbouring countries the people of China will have peace for as long as they want.

Dude if you have the bravest soldiers in the world like you say then they should have no problem putting in a democratic government - all of us cowardly westerners managed it years ago.

The answer is quite simple, the greatest country in World War 2 was the Soviet Union, and Canada was number 2.

And that is still true, just look at a world map and you will find Russia is the greatest, and Canada is still the second greatest country in the world.
