Yes. Good article. Russia traditionally has been paranoid about being surrounded and squeezed, and certainly the expansion of the EU hurries along. Expanded NATO? Islamic expansion? Perhaps Russia feels it necessary to raise its head; all cats can snarl.

I love how they conveniently forget the reason the countries surrounding them are flocking to the west. They were abused by the Russians for decades.
