It's a pretty good Civil War movie. I hate to see where "Stonewall" Jackson were shot by the own Confederate soldiers.

And, nope, I haven't read a book yet.

Totally agree with you, i bought it on dvd, as there's a helluva lot of detail in the various featurettes, but I did prefer the grandeur of Gettysburg.

Such a shame that Turner didn't bankroll the final instalment, Last Full Measure, (for all his ranting about bringing American history to the masses and cutting through the fog surrounding the Civil War), he ended up being a straight-out media moghul, ie: if it won't make a buck, i ain't gonna make it.... :sarc:
