Ginger-nut biscuit

This is another Kowolski story and was related to me by a Cpl who was on picket with him one night.
During a weekend exercise, we had harbored up for the night and the above Cpl ended up with Kowolski on his picket duty. As the time went by, Kowolski pulled out some biscuits from his ration pack and offered them to our Cpl.
“What kind are they” asked the Cpl.
“Chocolate” replied Kowolski.
Now as everyone knows during the 90’s in OZ (don’t know if this has changed) there was no such thing as chocy bickies in rat packs but the Cpl took one just the same. He bit into a ginger-nut biscuit which as everyone knows, although tasty, unless you soak them in a cup of tea (or coffee for the beverage uneducated) for a couple of minutes, you might as well be chewing through concrete.
The Cpl had him doing push-ups through the rest of the shift while he nursed his chipped tooth.

Funny, although I think the Cpl should've been doing the push-ups for not knowing better.
