Do you know anymore about the photo?

No, I saw only the photo. I found the photo from a assorted military photo CD-ROM without any text story. So the thing will maybe very difficult.

But the most annoying thing about this stuff is that most people in Germany either just don't care or don't have the guts to rise and fight for their right and their future.

Fight? No, no, no. I think the people need lawyer to defend for their right, right? And on the other hand, if not so, people can also be defeated easily by the media. You are young European, not half-sane Japanese.

I'm not talking about civil war or revolution or something like that, but at least mass demonstrations and stuff to show the powers that be who is the true power in a democracy.

Regarding the photo: It might have been from the Battle of the Bulge. The background appears to be winter and the troops are very young. I know that in this battle, it was quite reknowned for the use of young soldiers. When they were lost (and they were lost in high numbers) they were considered irreplaceable casaulties. Germany ran out of people to call up.

As for economics... ugh. Europe is just becoming a worse and worse place for companies. This is why IKEA is even listed as an American company. Basically the "people" protection laws in place are laws attempting to protect lazy bastards, and as a result, it just gets harder and harder for real working people to do their thing right. Not to mention the rewards for working right just get less and less while some moron who doesn't even work goes to the government and grabs free money.
They really, REALLY need to fix this but I'm afraid a lot of people in Europe simply turn a blind eye to it because on an individual basis, it's quite convenient and plus, being more socialist makes them feel like they're going against America.

Perhaps I can say my words more clear - First, Natural Law; Then Will of people. Also I didn't mention above things which about civil.

Regarding the photo: Thanks for gave me a clew. Mr. Missileer said, "The closer to the end of the war, the younger German soldiers were. If they were ordered to surrender, they're probably civilians in Germany." If I'm not misremember, the closer to the end of the war there were some 14/15 years old German soldiers. But it seems that other people don't know how many people died in the prison camp. I wish sincerely these pretty boys have been becoming the civilians. I hate abominably the liberal's propaganda of Darwinism - Law in one hand, propaganda of Darwinism in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ~ WOO HOO what a liberty (not freedom)!

Why does the high-debatable Darwinism deserve honor as science heretofore? whereas German lost a big proportion of respect into the propaganda. I don't want to mention dis-merry things anymore because it will offend today's innocent people. No more war, I wish. Did you?

As for economy, everybody knew that EU have a very strong, integrated system of economy which can not be knocked over like skittles.

The EU's economy might face some severe problems not too far in future because of the system that requires the government to pay too much money and not allow businesses to flourish and circulate currency better. But we'll see. I chose to keep my money in Euros instead of US Dollars and that paid off... but I think I'm going to have to reverse that when the Dollar or whatever recovers.

I do not classify Germany as a superpower because I don't believe there are any superpowers left. Even the US can't be considered a true superpower anymore because of its downsized military. The top contendors for a superpower position, in my opinion, is the US(duh), china(still needs alot of work though), and thats about it. Germany COULD pull it off in time, but in the process it would upset alot of its neighbors :D

I do admire the german race, they have hardly been beaten in war, only beaten because being surrounded. think back the days of the romans who didnt dare to attack germany.

except the mongols in 1200s, who pillaged everyone in its path.

then come fedrick the Great who help to shape germany and show the world germany military power.

The Uk penstion system was copied from german, churchill visited germany and was impressed with the german workers, healthy and in good conditon.

soon after teh union of a germany, the beat the french in teh agaisnt napoleon III. then if US didnt join in WW1 then the allies could of lost.

then WW2, germany military shaped the world how military should run, even the US and russia have to copy german jet fighter planes and V2 rocket designs, also took large amount of german scientists who contributed to US alot. also it was actually the german who invented nuclear bomb first, but the scientist didnt want hitler to produce it and lied that it will take billions of years to make a bomb like that, he was considered as a "good german". and also during the rule of Hitler, the german scientists discover smoking causes harm and cause cancer, that's the reason why Hitler hated german smoke, if the news was revealed to the world it could of save millions. it also shows how advance germany is.

after WW2 we saw germany again being one of the head of economy in europe and the world.

today the top produces of microscope, camera etc.. are german make. also the best tools like (mountain etc...) and Bens and BMW are also german. it shows how advance their industry is.
