The German Army dismissed an instructor who was filmed in a training exercise telling a recruit to imagine he was firing his machine gun at African-Americans in the Bronx. The Defense Ministry said the instructor, a lance corporal, had been stripped of his rank and pay. The soldier who filmed the scenes with his camera phone is still under investigation.
