lol you people are hilarious.
ok first of all the germans never finished half of the stuff they were doing unfortunatly . i would have loved to see the brits parish along with the americans hehe. but to get to the point Hitler was stupid enough to attack russia, and he foild the russian plan to attack germany, which was a great idea by Stalin. if Hilter would have continued his attack on britain he would have sucessfully made them surrender and by taking over britain they would have had more land and british radar that would be able to spot american ships. after this the americans would have been slaughtered at the beaches of normandy, gold, juno and all others. And after all this russia would have successfully attacked germany and conquered all of europe and would move on to world domination. because if anyone here has ever read any history at all russia would have had enought fire power alone to take out all of europe and america combined.

The v-1,v -2, and v-3 were ICBMS on aproximatly 2000km range. after germany was defeated by RUSSIA!!! not america as most of u might think. Russian specialists took the v-3 and modified it to make the first real ICBMs. And still to this day america still doesn't have normal ICBMs their ICBMs only have a range of about 4000km

I do not know what your sources are for any of this (but I can guarantee you they are nearly wholly incorrect). On another tack, you do realize that Canada was involved and, if the Americans and British had "parished" (set up shop in a church yard?), the Canadians would have been in the same boat.
And it is easy to take a handfull of "what ifs" and squeeze them into a fantasy world that suits your own outlook, but in my opinion it is, aside from entertainment value, a worthless endeavour.

And behave yourself here, treat others with the respect you would want them to show you, many of the members have more than earned that respect through their experience and responsibility.

Dear Soviet, I concur with Redneck's assessment of your posts and also recommend that you start reading some history (preferably NOT written by the Communist Party). You are way off base on multiple fronts here. If you would care to open a discussion forum on this, I would be happy to oblige.

Russia absolutely contributed vast quantities of manpower, natural resources and determination in the effort to defeat the Fascists (which was way more than just Germany as Russia's neighbors both hated and feared Stalin). Without Russia, the defeat of the Fascists and the liberation of Europe would have taken many years more beyond 1945, maybe forever, but the British Empire, US, other United Nations (yes the tern originated then) and resistance movements inside Occupied Europe were not sitting on their hands!

With regard to US ICBMs and their range - how would you know how far they can go? Don't you think that if the US can put multiple teams on the Moon and launch probes to places all over the Solar System that we can put nukes where we want them? What caused the Soviets to sign the Intermediate Range Missile Treaty and get rid of all intermediate range weapons? Two words: Pershing 2!!! Its range and accuracy scared the H**L out of the Politburo and forced them to negotiate.

But yes I am not going to say that Red Army contribution to defeat of Nazi war machine was not something as small as is wildly believed by allot of people. But the allied effort as a whole was the reason the Nazi's were defeated. British and American bombing raids over all of Germany..............Red Army and the Wehrmacht slugging it out on the Ost Front= V-E day

Hmmmmm....

Well, most normal written history sources about the german weapon program defines the main vengence weapons as:

V-1 a small, pilotless pulse jet powered flying bomb.

V-2: The first Intermediate range ballistic missle (ICBM). A Rocket that used the liquid oxidiser and propellants technology perfected by Robert Goddard of the United States (notice I said perfected not invented). At least 10 variants labled A-1 through A-10, were planned or prodduced.

V-3: A large, fixed in place artillary weapon designed to fire shells to at least 93 miles across the english channel, from france to england. Used assisted charge technology (one main charge to lift the projectile; six special chambered charges along the barrel to continue the acceleration of the shell after lift).

None of these had a 2000 KM range that I know of.

I would love to get a copy of a soviet history book, to compare notes. Is it available in the fiction section of the local librarys?

The Germans were weapons Pioneers! if the StG44 and Me-262 came earlier in the war... and if they made the Atom bomb first... well... i think we would all be speaking german right now .

Now, lets see, as i said before, given hitler was insane and insisted on the use of the Me262 as a bomber and supported dumbass programs like the Maus(no offence, that think is a bad idea.),not to speak of the resources he put into the mass killing of millions of jews and political rivals, hitler is one of the reasons germany did not win(even if they had a tech advantage...)
