These are among the photos in a glossy six-page spread published Thursday by the weekly magazine Paris Match that features a group of insurgents who say they killed 10 French soldiers in Afghanistan on Aug. 18. The spread, which has reinforced unease about France’s military presence there, is part of the Taliban’s media strategy to undercut support for a war that is already unpopular in several NATO countries that have troops in Afghanistan.
